What is Design Informer?

A couple of months ago, I started a blog on my portfolio website,
Jad Graphics. When a couple of the articles and tutorials that I wrote on that blog became popular, I thought it was time to start a blog that was separate from my freelance business in order to get more readers and followers. That's when the design Informer was born.
Design Informer is a web design and graphic design blog. We feature freelance articles, tutorials, freebies, resources, and inspiration posts. This blog will also be my digital playground as well, as I will be posting the most recent graphic design techniques that I have discovered in the form of tutorials.
While there are a lot of design blogs and communities out there, the purpose of this blog is still the same: to inform you about the latest in greatest in web design and graphic design, hence the name, Design Informer.
Who's Behind the Website?

Design Informer was created by me, Jad Limcaco. I am a freelance website and graphic designer residing in Long Beach, CA.
You should learn more about me by going to my freelance website, Jad Graphics, or you can follow me on Twitter as well. You can also view my most recent experiments on my Flickr.

I am a web designer and developer from India with deep interests in computer science, art, math and astrophysics, all in-spite of the fact that I graduated as a Petroleum Engineer. I am a devoted fan of Salvador Dali and have spent a considerable amount of time in studying various art movements.I spend most of my time in web design and in coming up with new ideas to enhance productivity. Oh, and this is an additional but somewhat useless fact - I have four international research papers in the field of petroleum engineering.
